Algeria Luxury Vacations and Algeria Travel Guide
Algeria Vacations Photo Provided by the Algeria Tourim Board

Since its terrible conflict in the 1990’s Algeria has not been seen as a popular tourist destination. Few travelers visit the country annually; however, Algeria has continually more to offer as it presses forward on the road to restoration. Since 1999's General Amnesty, peace has become much more prevalent in Algeria. Some fantastic Roman ruins can be seen at Djemila, a remarkably intact Roman Garrison full of splendid mosaics, marble statues and crumbling arches and columns.
Some very nice beaches can be found here as well, along the Mediterranean. Algeria is blessed with a fantastic coast line, especially along the Turquoise coast or Sisi Fredj peninsula. Oran in particular, the second largest Algerian city is ideal for finding lovely beaches, such as Les Andalouses, Cap Blanc and Cap Falcon.
Algeria’s lovely, mysterious cities are likely to be included among the country’s treasures. Algiers, the capital of Algeria hosts some excellent museums such as the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Bardo Ethnographic and local art museum. The holy town of Beni- Isguen is a fascinating destination, as is Ouargla. Many cities lie hidden as oases within the Sahara desert, which encompasses an incredible 80% of Algeria’s surface. If you are looking for a mysteriously enchanting destination, with hidden treasures around every turn, Algeria is an ideal locale.
